Volunteer Opportunities
High School Community Service:  We are now accepting applications from high school students to volunteer at the library to help with the Summer Reading Program!  The summer session is from June 3 - August 28, 2025.  A commitment of 2 hours a week for 8 weeks is required (though time may be missed for family vacations).  Summer Reading Program Volunteers may be asked to:

• Register children for the Summer Reading Program

• Shelve items

• Straighten Shelves

• Help with preparing various library events/activities

All volunteers are expected to understand that volunteering time is not a time to hang out with friends or be on your phone.  HCL greatly appreciates all the time our summer volunteers donate to help make our Summer Reading Program a success!  If you are interested in applying to volunteer with our Summer Reading Program, please download and complete the application below​:
